About the Rock River Watershed

Preserving 188.7 river miles of the Rock & Kishwaukee Rivers

The Rock River Watershed Group works to preserve and enhance water quality along the Rock and Kishwaukee Rivers in Northern Illinois. The Watershed includes the counties of Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Ogle, Lee, and Whiteside in Illinois. By engaging the partnerships of 13 municipal entities and three engineering consulting groups, the RRWG has representatives across the entirety of the watershed.
